I am totally outraged that someone would willfully and maliciously attack someone with FOP, no matter how “benign” it may seem to the attacker.
You may be able to roughhouse with your friends, but any little bump can literally paralyze someone with FOP. Because FOP is so strange, I’m certain that the entire school is aware of the condition of any student who has it. There is no excuse for this type of behavior.
Assault and civil charges should be seriously considered on anyone, regardless of age, who attacks someone with FOP. Even a simple push with a finger can make them fall, causing serious injury and paralysis.
If you are driving recklessly and hit a Ferarri or a house and your insurance won’t cover the damage you’ve caused, then you’re going to get the pants sued off of you. It may seem “unfair”, but it wouldn’t have happened if you weren’t being an asshole. Is it any more fair if you total a VW Golf and get away scott-free?
Kids who know an FOPer KNOW that any injury can paralyze them. Even still, there is no way that any FOP child can pose any physical threat to anyone else, so why is any violence against them tolerated?
You will wake a sleeping lion by messing with anyone with FOP. We already have a bunch of bottled rage, and you certainly don’t want to be anywhere near when it is unleashed.
I will pursue assault and civil charges against anyone who even looks at Erin the wrong way. The bully may be so overwhelmed by the monsoon of Justice that they may “commit suicide” brought on by depression.
