Miranda Fritz

Miranda Friz was born on January 15, 2005, and was diagnosed with FOP when she was 2 years and 3 months old. As of July 2008, she is 3.5 years old. Miranda lives in Burnaby (suburb city of Vancouver), Canada with her mom Karen, her dad Pete, her brother Owen (3 years older) and their cat Tiki. Miranda also loves to spend time visiting her Farmor (dad’s mother) and Grandpa Carl, as well as her Baba (mom’s mother) and Grandpa Mal. Miranda is full of fun! She’s always running, dancing, shouting and playing with her brother, and she rarely sits still… She is interested in learning about ocean animals, and likes to look at books. She also likes to play with her plastic ocean animal figures, as well as her stuffed toys. Miranda has fun at daycare 3 days per week, where an extra caregiver is on staff to help her stay safe. Miranda’s family members think she has a bright future ahead of her, and are looking forward to the day when a medication for FOP will make it even better.
